Jean Noin
Born with a soul that resonates with the sounds of the past, I began my musical journey at the age of four. For decades, I majored in piano at a music conservatory, and after graduation, I studied harpsichord and Baroque violin, following a rigorous path in classical music education.
However, life eventually demanded a different kind of listening.
In the autumn of 2024, after a profound turning point and loss, I returned to the instruments that have always embodied my truth: the harpsichord and Baroque violin.
Today, I reside in a sanctuary I have created for myself.
I do not play for an audience, but to trace memories.
My practice is an act of Stoic philosophy: an act of intentionally unraveling the ego and revealing the quiet essence that lies dormant within. Whether it be the exquisite geometry of J.S. Bach or the ephemeral sounds of modern minimalism, my goal remains the same: to create the conditions for producing sounds that allow the soul to return to its original state of tranquility.
I live on the periphery.
I absorb the resonance.
I simply remain there.
A sound that speaks to the soul.
